ÁRD SCOIL Rís lost the All Ireland Colleges Hurling final for the third time last Monday in Thurles.
Three times the Limerick school has fallen at the final hurdle, all against the same opposition too, St Kieran’s College, Kilkenny.
In the coming weeks, the defeat will be a bitter pill to swallow for all involved in the team and indeed, the wider school population.
However, sight must not be lost of what Árd Scoil’s successes in 2010/11/14 and 2016 have done for hurling.
Inter county minor Munster titles have been capped with All Ireland under 21 titles. The All Ireland club championship has come Shannonside for the first time ever. All of these triumphs have been built on lessons learned in defeat. Keep going, Árd Scoil. Now is not the time to question, now is the time to look forward.
