Mol an óige agus tiocfaidh sí. If you build it, they will come. Use whatever saying, proverb or simile you want, what Na Piarsaigh GAA have done in recent years needs to be admired.

Win, lose or draw on St Patrick’s Day in Croke Park, Na Piarsaigh GAA club should be seen as the blue print for sporting clubs in this part of the world. Tireless work off the pitch, from volunteers, has seen a club grow alongside its community.

Fun runs, BBQs, Zumbathons, quizzes, 1916 lectures, Irish dancing classes have all run alongside and in conjunction with their hurling, football and camogie teams.

The passion for all things GAA can be felt before you even enter the grounds. With under age success being a priority for years, the club is now reaping what it has sowed. However, unlike other clubs and some professional teams, theirs is a bountiful harvest.

Best of luck today.
